Microsoft have announced a problem with Internet Explorer. This affect several version of IE but mainly IE6,7,8 on XP. The problem means that remote users can gain access to files on your PC. This is not too serious as the attacker would need to know the names of the files but there are other ways of obtaining this information.

As always we recommend the use of Firefox as it is more secure and reliable.
